There are so many brilliant shows opening in 2016. I decided to post about the different shows and give you all a little insights on each show and maybe even see these shows soon!

American Psycho-

Based on the movie with Christian Bale, "American Psycho," the musical will be opening March, 24, 2016. The cast consists of the wonderful Jennifer Damiano, Alice Ripley (Next to Normal cast remake?) and Benjamin Walker. Can you imagine meeting that cast at the stage door? Crazy! In case you don't know the story, Patrick Bateman is an attractive, rich, dapper 26-year-old living in New York. The only thing is that he has a murderous alter-ego that his friends and co-workers don't know about.

Shuffle Along-

With a brilliant cast iincluding Audra Macdonald and Billy Porter, this musical is about the road to the hit, "Shuffle Along" and how it came to be. Shuffle Along is a popular show from the 20th century, this 2016 version will be about how it happened. Not to mention, the multi-talented Audra Macdonald and Billy Porter will be starring in the show, talk about a dream cast! This show opens on April, 28, 2016 in the Music Box Theatre on Broadway.

Waitress-

Opening at the Brooks Atkinson theatre, this musical is based on the 2007 film. It is about a pregnant waitress, Jenna who is stuck in an abusive marriage. She finds relief in making pies at her restaurant and maybe even a happy ending! This show opens on April, 24, 2016. Jenna is played by Jessie Mueller and some of the other cast is Drew gehling, Nick Cordero and Keala Settle.

Tuck Everlasting-

Winnie Foster discovers the magical secret of the Tuck family. She embarks on an extoardinary adventure that will change her life forever. This story about love, family and living life to the fullest opens on April, 26, 2016 at the Broadhurst theatre. The cast contains stars like Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Carolee Carmello, Fred Applegate and Sarah Charles Lewis.

Cats-

Whatt?? Yes! Cats is opening for a revival this summer. Cats will open August, 2nd, 2016 at the Neil Simon theatre. This means Andrew Lloyd Webber will, impressively, have three shows running on broadway at once. Cats, Phantom of the Opera and School of Rock, which also recently opened. The news was so recently put out that they haven't even revealed the cast yet. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

That's all for today's post. I hope you enjoyed it. If you decide to see any of these shows this year, definitely let me know how you liked them! Also, Broadwaycon is tomorrow and so I think I will do a post on how it was and what to do for next year, so look forward to that!
