How to be the Best Theatre Kid

Hello friends,

So the posting schedule has been a little odd lately but I've decided to just post whenever is easiest. Today I thought I would share with you my tips on how to be an awesome theatre kid. I will share with you how to get into amazing events, grow cool collections and meet awesome people, so let's go!

How to get into amazing events-

There are tens of thousands of amazing theatre events! For example, the very first Broadwaycon is in two weeks! By buying tickets to this event, you will be able to buy cool merchandise and meet some brilliant people. Some other events that are available to you are 54 below concerts. If you do not know, 54 below is a restaurant for Broadway performers to do live shows at. You never know, your favorite actor/actress might be performing this weekend, so check it out. Don't forget, a cool event is going to see a show in general too! So if you really love to see Broadway, ask for a trip to a show for your birthday or christmas. You could also just splurge and treat yourself!

How to grow collections of theatre memorabilia-

One awesome event that is available to the public where you can get epic theatre trash is the Broadway flea market! This event occurrs each year around september. This is where you can go and they have different booths for different shows. Also they have booths for playbills alone and you can buy billions of them for cheap! Amazon is a great website to use to find little theatre trinkets to keep in your room! They have pins, playbills, posters, shirts, hats and ofcourse cast recordings!! Lastly although it can be expensive, the merchandise booth at Broadway theatre's is a good place to check out for merchandise at any show.

How to meet brilliant people-

Like I said before, Broadwaycon and the Broadway flea market are events to go to where you will be able to meet really cool actors. Another tip is after you see a show on Broadway, the stage door is a great place to check out the cast. The stage door is usually fairly simple to find, most of the time, it is just around the corner of the front entrance. They come out about 20-50 minutes after the show and you can get pictures, autographs, etc. This is the number 1 trick to meeting all your favorite people! Trust me, this is the best thing to do while your in New York.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and if you use some of these tips, let me know! Also, if you have any other tips feel free to contact me, I'd love to hear about it!
